Below are details of sessions run under auspices of this in Berlin, and some further details of other opportunities in the area

This recently established RCSL will be sponsoring three sessions in Berlin and scholars working in these fields or indeed any interested parties will be most welcome to attend.

1) 'Contemporary Sporting Themes and Issues' 1439 Wednesday July 25th, HU/39 2.30pm

2) 'The Popular/Legal Imagination' 2237 Thursday July 26th, HU/37, 10.15am

3) 'Images of Justice in Times of Political Instability' 4238 July 28th, HU/38, 10.15 am

The Working Group is looking for new members who are interested in exploring  the relationship between law and popular culture, and the group hopes to facilitate intellectual dialogue, collaborations, publications etc. In particular we are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to have a workshop on 'Law and Popular Culture' in Onati, running 8-9 May 2008.

It is hoped to establish a website soon to disseminate material, and a formal call for new members and report on activities will appear in the next issue of the RCSL newsletter, but if there are any queries or questions, or if people want to join the group in the meantime, please contact the Working Group Chair:
