Family law, legal pluralism

Posted by nandini at July 09. 2007

Hello,

Is anyone working on family laws in countries that have multiple (religion-based) personal laws? I work on family laws of Christians in India, and would like very much to hear from others who work on Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, or Kenya, Uganda, Sudan.

Hi Nandini,

Sorry but I missed your presentation at the conference and was actually just looking for your paper - I am working on Islamic law in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei and in particular in regards to Singapore and Malaysia at Islamic family law.

If you want to discuss some shared interests - feel free to contact me at steiner@unimelb.edu.au

Cheers,

Kerstin
